NIU/Green Bay predictions
Should be a good game. Tough to predict with all the unknowns. Hard to not think back to the budding NIU/UWGB rivalry in the MCC. Both teams were getting top 25 votes for a time in mid 90s. Always seemed like UWGB would squash NIU right when they were getting some big time momentum. They had NIUs number like the Packers have the Bears number. Jeff Noordgaard would always seem to torch the Huskies. I wasn't around for the big home games of the 80s so the best environment I ever witnessed was a game against UWGB at chick Evans that drew 5500 on a cold February night in mid 90s with the famous Hartke slam. That game was when I became hooked on NIU basketball. Hearing that NIU chant with 5500 packed in gave me goosebumps This is not your fathers uwgb. Huskies win

RE: NIU/Green Bay predictions
Green Bay played a exhibition against Minnesota and lost but made 11 threes. I will say it again to start this year unless NIU can make 7-8 three pointers a game they will not have a winning season. Green Bay with the win.

I don't understsnd exhibitions against two d1 schools. I see Minnesota put up a 115 on Green Bay

Not to mention all those big-bodied shooters with Northern European surnames — Jeff Nordgaard, Jeremy Ludvigsen and, worst of all, Logan Vander Velden. Hated losing to those guys. It was easy, especially if you were a Bears fan.

RE: NIU/Green Bay predictions
It was always those 55-50 games. You just wanted NIU to come out on fire and light them up for 85 points but it never happened.
The team I hated the most in that Conference, men or women's basketball.

Those were great days with Molinari. This team had our number then.

I actually wonder if FT shooting may end up being a relative strength of this team.

RE: NIU/Green Bay predictions
We are favored by 5 although I have no idea how they come up with that number. Must be because UWGB has a lower Kenpom ratIng. As far as nostalgia, it feels more like a bad acid flashback. Oh how I hated Tony Bennett.
