Pathetic offense. I would argue that the defense is doing very well. But yes, the offense is utterly pathetic.

10 minutes left in the game update:

This is the kind of football game which causes fan support to diminish.

All we ask is to be competitive. Worst game of the year.

This team just gave up. Body language last possession was awful. Makes me sick.

We got worse the last 3 games of the year. We need line play, quickness, and a change with play calling. Very disappointed how we ended the year.

RE: Official Game Thread: Chattanooga
I think most of us could tell the game was over when the Chatt guy broke thru *3* blockers to block the punt. I came very close to posting such at that time. It just seemed nearly hopeless from that point.

I've watched ETSU football for more years than most of you all have been alive, and this ranks right down there with some of the worst of them all. "Embarrassing" is an understatement. I'm not sure we progressed this year. It seemed for a while like we did, but I'm really not sure now.....

Coach Taylor knows what he’s doing. Wouldn’t mind having him as the head man soon.

Got to question if Torbush is actually building the program or if it's the blind leading the blind.

Kennesaw State 10-1, conference champs, playoffs bound

ETSU 4-7

RE: Official Game Thread: Chattanooga
There is no offense. The players don't look as if they know what to do. Run same 4 plays every game. Nothing ever changes.

O'Cain said in the presser that the offensive line was not big enough or strong enough. He said it took 3, 4 or 5 years to develop a offensive line. Then he proceeded to say that they he had three freshman lineman reshirted and they would press the current returnees to start. He totally flipped what he just said about how long it took to get OL ready.

IMO, he's making excuses for his failures and is throwing the players under the bus.

The Bucs need a new OC now. Don't let O'Cain have anything to do with recuiting. His statements about what it takes to develop players doesn't jive with what other teams are doing. His offense is junk.

The offense has not improved under O'Cain, it's regressed. Fire O'Cain now.

Torbush concludes this season with an overall record of 31-48 as a head college coach. His only success was with a Mack Brown team, and things declined at UNC from there.

3 years in and the program feels stale already. We play a boring style and play it poorly. We were told that suffering through that awful first season was doing things the right way. Nobody can say that was right now, especially comparing Kennesaw's program to ours. Expecting major attendance declines next season if nothing changes.

RE: Official Game Thread: Chattanooga
I definitely think we made progress this season, but we played poorly the last couple of games. I imagine this was because defenses adjusted to our lack of running game. The offense we saw at Furman was nothing like the offense we had at the end of the season.

I support the coach, but I will say that if we have any freshman offensive lineman on the team that could have replaced our current players, we should have played them. We have witnessed that red shirting for a 5th year isn't always what happens. I hate to by overly harsh, but the current offensive linemen just aren't good enough, and I don't think many of us on here would anticipate that they will magically be good enough next season. We need to recruit heavily in this area.

And yes, O'Cain needs to go. My support of Torbush might start to decline if this move isn't made.

He has to. I will not go see a game next if after the first home game we show the same offense.

I would be interested in listening to anyone who has knowledge or coaching experience as to what our moves should be for next year as to stay the course or make changes. I do not feel I know enough about the techniques of offenses to have an opinion right now.

Start recruiting heavily in Georgia. Kennesaw’s roster, of course, is loaded with local talent. And, I could not detect that many transfers on their roster. Seems there’s significant talent in metro Atlanta.

Note: I can count but 7 seniors on our 2017 roster. But, as discussed before, 27 seniors are departing. Of course, eligibility wise, they’re probably listed as juniors? Is redshirting still a viable path in this era of college football? It would be hard for me not to play a true freshman if he can help, or anybody that could get the job done, regardless of class. The big schools certainly do this. I’m just thinking of the freshman QB at Georgia, for example. Must be many others playing now days.
