UAB Football
The Blazers football team is 2-1 on November 13.

Born on this day in 1958 is "Stormin" Norman Anchrum. Anchrum played for the Blazers from 1980-1982 and was a integral member of a UAB team that went to the Sweet 16 and the Elite 8. He averaged 6.5 points per game in his career. He ranks sixth on the All time Blocks list and was the original mayor of Blockingham, leading the records in blocks until Jerome Mincy came along.

The 1993 Dayton game. Can't remember if it was that game or the Lambuth College game was the one where Gary Sanders had a really bad cold. I was a guest student announcer for both games.

The Dayton team had been undefeated in like 56 straight regular season games at that point.

J Claude Bennett came into the booth for a few minutes during that game.

Sanders was not a fan of J Claude's "we should support that program in Tuscaloosa also" philosophy.
