Owls up 29-15 after 1 quarter. Doing a nice job with the 3-pointers with 6 (6-10) already.

Owls up 7 at the half, 45-38. Iademarco (17 points) and Knight (14 points, perfect from the field) are pretty much carrying the offensive load. We only played 7 players in the altitude so fatigue could be an issue.

65-56 after 3 quarters. Lead had gotten down to 2 but women stretched it back up briefly to double digits before ending the quarter with the 9 point lead.

Ladies win 88-83. Three players with 20+ points

Need to get better with the free throws, though. 15-24 won't cut it

Women win 88-83. Iademarco with 28, Erica Ogwumike 21 (nearly a triple double too with 9 boards and 8 steals, the latter stat might be a school record) and Knight with 20. So those 3 scored 69 of the 88 points. Olivia Ogwumike hit a big 3 when it got close.

Win streak up to 6 games, which might be the third longest in the country (behind South Carolina's 12 and Michigan's 8, and both of those teams have tough games later this week).

Women are good but they need some more players to contribute off the bench. Hopefully they can try to work in a few more players in the next few games at home, which don't seem as tough as the first two road games -- eta actually just 1 at home (vs. HBU), then one on road at Sam Houston State, and then a good Little Rock team at home.

Starting the season with two distant road wins is pretty darn impressive. Well done, ladies-- keep it up!

It ties the record, held already by five others:

8-Brenda Conaway (vs . TCU, J19, 1994)

8-D’Frantz Smart (Chicago ST ., N18, 2011)

I guess officially she just had 7 steals. I was watching the game late and she definitely had a steal in the final 2 minutes or so, and the stats already had her with 7 steals at that point, but I guess they were wrong or possibly the stats were ahead of the video.

A great recruiter makes a huge difference and notice she has a good number outstanding Houston girls. There is where Coach Pera needs to step up more.
