We also played a pretty awful UConn team. Hard to expect to be rewarded for doing what we're supposed to do.

USF and then hopefully a ranked Memphis in the champ game might be enough to get us moving up again, but otherwise..

The two teams that jumped us beat mighty Colorado and Rutgers. 07-coffee3

UCF will hit the top ten if they win out.

So......Memphis moved up two spots by "NOT" playing anybody while UCF and usf win by 20+ points and remain stationary and move up one spot respectively? Makes absolutely perfect sense.

That has to do with the teams around each spot, not the idea there is an inherent bias toward Memphis, lol.

RE: Latest Coaches Poll
UCF's raw votes increased to 910 (from 854 last week), and they closed the gap significantly on 11th (27 last week, 2 this week) and 10th (46 last week, 7 this week).

Bum deal on PSU getting to jump based on a win over worthless Rutgers, but in other weeks a 6%+ increase on vote totals could just have easily resulted in moving up a couple spots. Keep improving that number on an absolute basis and the relative gains will come.

No they won't. Maybe if they win the NY6 bowl, but not before.

UCF will be in the Top 10 in both the Coaches and AP if they win the conference championship and take care of business against Temple this weekend. At that point they will be undefeated and will have won back to back games against Top 25 teams.

Agreed. I'm just pointing out that winning doesn't necessarily equate to movement, which flys in the face of common sense.

True about UCONN but PSU played equally/arguably bad Rutgers and moved up 3 spots past UCF in the AP poll, with a similar victory margin.

As someone else pointed out, look at the total votes, not just the ranking

UCF, Memphis, and USF all got more votes this week, it's just that UCF was farther than Memphis and USF from the next team in the ranking
