Blazer Almanac November 12 - #domoore
November 12

Born on this day in 1990 was Cameron Moore. Cam played at UAB from 2008 to 2012 and progressed from gangly freshman averaging 3 points a game to the CUSA Defensive player of the year, averaging 16.1 points, 10.5 rebounds and 2.3 blocks per game. After UAB, he played overseas but died during his first training session with his new team in Macedonia last year on October 4. He had been diagnosed with a heart condition in 2015, but had just been cleared to play. His former teammates and friends remember him on social media with the hashtag #Domoore.

UAB football:
Football is 1-1 on this date. Both games feature fourth quarter come from behind wins - one by the Blazers and one against the Blazers.

**On this date in 2005, the Blazers lost to Central Florida 27-21. UAB led 21-13 going into the fourth quarter. We remember great things about Darryl Hackney, but this game was not one of them. Three plays into the fourth quarter, Hackney threw an interception that led to a touchdown. UCF was able to tie the game on a two point conversion. On the nex drive, Hackney fumbled a snap, which led to a Central Florida field goal with 5:31 to play. With 2:31 to go, and down 24-21, UAB still had a chance, but Hackney threw another interception and a few plays later, Central Florida tacked on another field goal to win 27-21.

**On this date in 2011, UAB won at Memphis 41-35. In this game, UAB was down 35-17 going into the fourth quarter. But led by Jonathan Perry, UAB scored 24 unanswered fourth quarter points to win the game. Perry finished a monster game with 410 yards passing and four touchdowns.

UAB Basketball:
**The only basketball game played on this date was against Wisconsin-Milwaukee in 2006. UAB won 75-60.
