I don't care one way or the other about VT, but unless we are playing against his team I don't mind seeing Fuente win. He changed the culture here and for that I'm grateful.

We got the better end of that deal no doubt. HC and entire staff too.

Will be forever grateful to Coach Fuente. Have to agree with your assessment though.

Fuente saved the program, won a conference championship, got us ranked higher than we have ever been ranked and left Tiger football in great shape. Norvell kept the ball rollong. The past few years have been fun. If we win next week we will play in our first ever conference championship game.

the people that hired fuente saved the program, saved it after he left by hiring norvell, and will continue to save it.

You have to smile a bit that he hasn't figured out that option yet.

Fuente and Norvel are awesome coaches. They put us on the map. I will be forever grateful to them.

I still root for Fuente and appreciate what he did for our program. What he did here was incredible, and I really enjoyed those years.

I want Fuente to be a hall of fame coach one day. That being said, I did bet against his ability to stop the triple option today.

Larry Porter was the absolute worst decision ever made by an AD/Search Committee at Memphis. He took this program 6 ft. under ... finally we fired him and have hired 2 extraordinary coordinates to help bring us back to prominence.

Yep... Our program is better than ever now. Can we establish a similar model for correcting or current basketball situation?

Don't think JF has figured out the option yet either but he does have a well respected Bud Foster as his DC who has been seeing that option for years from GT. Blame this one on the offensive play calling which is uncharacteristic of JF who always seemed to get conservative with a lead or in a tight game.

Unless they make the wrong hire. The same folks who hired John L Smith, Bobby Petrino and Charlie Strong also hired Kragthorpe.

Why the Fuente hate? He turned the thing around and left for a job 98 percent of us don’t blame him for.

And I hate that too. That was a painful hire / fire process. He is and was one of us. that hurt in a lot of ways.
