St. Louis radio guy named T.J. Moe did a recruiting comparison for today's UT - Missouri football game.

Over the last 4 recruiting classes, the Vols had 7 5-stars and 48 4-stars.
Over the last 4 recruiting classes, Missouri had 0 5-stars and 11 4-stars.

Missouri is an 11 point favorite today.

I don't care. I don't watch sec teams. Why should i?

You are comparing football and basketball. Those aren’t even remotely comparable. There are infinitely more mistakes and players who suprise in football rankings. Go back the last ten years and look at the top 100 in football and then look at the slexact same for basketball and you will see the difference.

Recruiting matters. It simply does. Outside of Wichita State, who has produced NBA players, find me another school that is successful without top 150 talent. I don’t have to wait, you won’t find any. Gonzaga has 4 and 5 star players, so does Xavier.

Of course recruiting matters. But it's not everything. And there are just as many Top 100 misses in football as basketball. Look at all of our top 100 misses in our
program since Cal left.

And the two sports are comparable. And most 5 star hoops players only stay 1 year in college, so it's even more important for hoops programs to properly scout and develop talent.

I used to watch everyone, but watching college athletics is no longer fun for me, so i quit. Sec teams have a chance for a championship and we don't. The fans of those schools don't watch my team, so why should i watch their team. The ncaa is so bs it's not worth keeping up with anymore. I hope the fbi investigates college football that is far more corrupt than college basketball. It's very suspicious that they don't investigate it.

I only watch the Tigers and future opponents. I could care less about anything else. Been this way since 2014, and i have no regrets.

Navy is driving and up 7-3 in the first quarter. I'm hoping navy roughs them up some and wins the game.

why bother vols, why even bother.

I watched the game with a utk alum last nite, first time I've watched them this yr.
Butch lost control of that team, probably a while ago, u can have 4 and 5 star players but if u can't coach them or they don't respect u, there is a serious problem.
Should of sent 2, 5 stars and 4, 4 stars our way. Give me a banging 3 star or walk on over a entitled 4 or 5 anytime
