If Vegas holds true C-USA will go 1-8. Maybe getting this many teams wasn't so good after all.
How is having 9 teams going to a bowl game (and another eligible team sitting home) "not so good"? Personally, I would rather have 9 teams in a bowl game and go 1-8 than having only 6 teams in a bowl game and go 5-1.
I don't see the logic in that. The conference needs it's best teams in bowls, not every team in bowls. It's better for CUSA's image if we have a 4 - 1 or 5-0 bowl season. We can't do that if we have 9 teams playing, four of which stink. WKU, UAB, and FIU were embarassed. USM may get embarassed tomorrow. We can't have that as a conference. Fewer is better. About seven bowl games need to die off. Let it happen. Don't appease them by agreeing to send bad teams to bad bowls.

My logic is that in order to get 9 teams in bowl games it means you've got lots of CUSA teams that won at least 6 games in the regular season----CUSA currently has 6 teams with 8 wins or more with 4 more teams with either 6 or 7 wins (the win totals include bowl game wins by FAU, Marshall, MT and LT). Had we only gotten 5-6 teams in bowl games I feel like the knock against CUSA would be "your conference is pathetic beforehand and you still can only get 5-6 teams with a winning record". Probably something lots of people will agree to disagree but that's my opinion in a nutshell.
