I was about to post the same thing. The NCAA website shows us at 152 also.

Yes, and at least one win over a top 100 team...around 50 before we played them.

I’m using the Ken Pom strength of non conference schedule.

I hope we win both games, but I don't expect it since we don't play defense so far. Before the season started, I hoped we would gain experience and jell as a team during the 11 game nonconference schedule. Then, beginning with Hofstra(whom I despise more than any conference opponent), we would begin to play great basketball and surprise all of the people who said we would finish near the bottom of the league. So far, the team has improved dramatically from the opener at High Point. We were very competitive at UCF and then have played even better since that game. The Tribe needs to win tonight and then the next 2 road games will tell us what we still need to work on. Very pleased with the progress and we have moved up over 150 spots since the High Point game. Plus, we need the conference mates to win some more games too because it helps the RPI for us later as we play and beat them. Only Towson seems to have held its end of that bargain so far. I believe that the CAA will not get an at large bid no matter how well any of our teams do.

Towson needed OT to beat Morgan State.

Hofstra comes from behind to beat Monmouth at the end. UD falls to a solid Buffalo team.

The best tonight, though, was seeing ODU erase a halftime deficit to crush Richmond by 19

The end of Hofstra's game made Deadspin... They pulled off the "we're down by two, have one free-throw, let's intentionally miss a free-throw and try to make a shot" perfectly:

Brilliant execution on that play...plus a little luck...but, then, we and ODU know about that scenario. 03-wink

RE: CAA/Other Opponents
Current RPI shows our schedule to be a little tougher than originally anticipated. TCU 13, UCF 24, Towson 32, Ohio St 66, Elon 78 and ODU 90 at this point. So, 6 more games with the top 100, nout counting 2 more with Charleston who is the league's preseason favorite. Hope the guys give great effort Saturday before the 8 day exam break. With Hofstra, at JMU, at Delaware, at Drexel and home with JMU to start, we have a real chance to get off to a good start in league play if we play well. Interesting as well since our only home loss last season was to Hofstra.

CofC is 100 on Kenpom, Towson 105, Northeastern 136, Hofstra 146, Elon 153, UNCW 183, the Tribe 186, Drexel 222, Delaware 229, and JMU 260.

W&M has gained 40 spots since Marshall, 52 since the ODU game. I like those rankings more because it puts in a lot more different factors than RPI.

Regardless of any rankings, nobody in our conference is going to want to play us due to our shooting. Just look at the top five scorers on our team. How many times have we ever had five players average 10 ppg or more with each shooting above 50% from the field and 80% from the line (Actually Burchfield is our worst free throw shooter at 75%, but he'll be above 80 at year end))? We've also shown that any one of them can explode for over 20 in a game. We haven't seen this type of stuff in a really long time, if ever.

Believe this is the first time we have ever beaten ODU and GMU in the same season.

You mean gone undefeated against them? Surely we had at least one CAA season where we beat both teams.

I couldn’t believe it. Just pulled up the media guide and as far as I could find, this is the first time we have recorded wins against BOTH OFU and Mason. Ever.

That is unbelievable.

Correction: 1981-82, 82-83, and 1990-91 we beat both of them

You're correct, but I had to go all the way back to the 97/98 season.

Went back, also, and looked at the last three post game player interviews with Cohn/Tot, Knight/Burchfield and Rowley/Milon, and could not be more impressed with these guys. Articulate, unselfish, and all with just a tremendous understanding of the game and their roles. Very proud having these guys rep, and hope they get some just rewards this season.

RE: CAA/Other Opponents
While I really like this team and the way the guys play and represent themselves and the program, we have a long way to go. There are going to be some major struggles at some point, perhaps as soon as Saturday. What is exciting though is the level of play that especially the 5 starters are showing including their awareness of where each other is on the floor. They definitely are ahead of what I expected so far this season though. 3 big games and exams ahead for the guys in the next 2 weeks. Tough 2 weeks for all the students.
Finally I cannot believe we beat Mason and ODU in 90-91. I have blocked out the years of he who must not be named. Would not be surprised if Charlie's great late 90's team beat both.
