Tigers will have to create some steals, generate some transition points. We know that we'll be an average shooting team, so have to get points elsewhere.

Anxious to see Davenport and Kareem in real action. And how Jamal shoots. Has it been since Chris Crawford that we had a dependable wing 3-point shooter? Would be huge for our re-build if Jamal can fill that role.

I'm predicting a win. 76-68. This year's team will surprise most.

I’m very much looking forward to seeing Brewton and Davenport play too. I think we see all three freshmen contribute tonight.

With the guys Alabama has out, did a little research on who is left, wondering why Vegas still likes them so much. Unfortunately, they do still seem to have a lot of talent left.

#23 John Petty - Bama's other Freshman 5 star, but probably a 4 star. #34 on 247, #46 on Scout. Wing/SG.

#5 Avery Johnson Jr. - Avery's kid, might start at PG with Sexton out.

#4 Daniel Giddons - 6' 11" F/C. Ohio State transfer playing 1st Bama game. #50 recruit in '15 out of Marietta.

#12 Dazon Ingram - Another primary ballhandler. Played 27 mpg last year, 10.6 ppg.

#10 Herb Jones - Freshman 6'7" SG/SF. #146 recruit. Supposedly the surprise of preseason. Tearing it up. Some think a future NBA player.

#0 Donte Hall - Junior PF, played 20 mpg last year. 6 ppg and 6 rpg.

I exect this to be the start of a pretty good season one that will be better than most expect.
A real good season with a number of unknown/not highly ranked players will go along way to attracting quality 2018 and 19 classes. It will be interesting to watch Tubby coach players that will listen to him. Go Tigers.

As long as they keep it within 35 or 40, it will be an improvement over the end of Tubby's 1st season.

Would be great to win.

Expecting a 78-69 loss though. The game is close at half time....5 pts either way. Bama makes a run after the under 16 times out to get the lead to 12-15. We make a run to close it to 7 or 8 but cant get any closer.

The freshmen are less experienced and (usually) less physically mature than our JUCO’s. Martin, a terrfic defender, should handle ‘Bama’s point guard. We have better depth.

We should win and I look forward to celebrating.

On paper their starting 5 still look way better than us. Hopefully we wear them out with our, "Team #2, go in for team #1" subbing pattern.

Plus they won't be as experienced playing together as a team

If they try to zone us, Jamal and one other Tiger gets hot from outside. They get behind, their bamabuttholes get tight.
