The AAC could get gutted this off season.

I would imagine the Memphis coach will get some looks as well.

Willie Taggert is at Oregon now.

Give him credit Taggert did leave USF.

And they are on the hot seat because the ACC is doing their thing. No longer can they say the SEC is the best top to bottom. The halo has faded.

The question is does Charlie Strong return to Florida?

A lot of people wanted him after Meyer.

Heard the name and associate him with USF, forgot he went to Oregon.

I think Chip Kelly would be a fit at Florida with his offense, but haven't heard them together.

So far I have heard

Scott Frost(UCF) to Florida
If Dan Mullen leaves Miss St, Neal Brown(Troy) heads there
Mullen could go to Tennessee or Florida
If Malzahn gets the boot at Auburn, he's headed to Arkansas
Patrino rumors again to Auburn, Patrino has ruined Auburn coaches before(Jetgate)
Chip Kelly could be Texas A&M
Also could be Chad Morris(SMU) at A&M

It will a busy year for the SEC which could mean changes in the SBC.

What is everyone hearing in their neck of the woods???

Frost is going to Nebraska

RE: Coaching carousel rumors
I don't believe a guy who couldn't win at Texas is going to win the press conference at Florida. Gators probably are looking at Mullins and Frost or some NFL OC.

I believe Nebraska wants Frost, I'm not sure he's the lock everyone believes. It's hard to go to the alma mater. Right now it is a really hard job because the Huskers have been below Iowa, Wisconsin, Michigan, Ohio State, Michigan State, and Penn State for a few years now and perception of recruits has to be changed. You have a crap ton of traditions you have to maintain or be hated by the fan base regardless of your success.

Fan expectations are out of whack with where the program is. Frank Solich had a .753 winning percentage and got fired after a nine win season. Bo Pellini had a .712 record and never won fewer than 9 games and got fired.

It's cold, it's windy, he's in a place that is warm and sunny with no state income tax, Frost may not be as fired up to go to Nebraska as their fans think.

If Texas would stop being so arrogant, I could see Nebraska returning to the Big XII. The B1G has been terrible for them. They get terrible exposure and have no history with the teams they play.

RE: Coaching carousel rumors
The fall off of SEC domination the last 2 years is going to affect coaching hires. Every opening is going to be filled with a big time prospect. No one is going to take a chance on a coach with little or no P5 experience at the HC/OC/DC level and without a track record of 4-and-5 star recruiting in Alabama, Georgia, Florida, Louisiana, and Texas.

I don't understand why Auburn would want to fire Gus. Just doesn't make sense.

He's consistently 8-4 and can't beat his two biggest rivals in Georgia and Alabama. He hasn't proven he can develop a QB and they start every year with a loss because he can't prepare his team for the season. Auburn fans are tired of it when the other team in the state is winning national championships, and now looks like Georgia is trying to join that club.

It is the SEC but more specifically Auburn, if Alabama is getting the better end of things consistently then regardless of record there will be a coaching change.

UGA fired Mark Richt.. who was averaging 10 win seasons.. Gus's potential firing is not surprising.

Nebraska wouldn't go back even if Texas became humble and promised to behave and gave up their vote.

Nebraska views Iowa, Wisconsin, Ohio State as their peers, they want to be there and the money is sweet too.

Nebraska has fired TWO coaches averaging 9 wins.

You can get big bucks coaching at those places but the expectations are high as well.

If you aren't winning conference titles in the SEC you are failing. Look at Florida, their coach won the east the last couple years and still got dumped.

I get it, but nobody has been beating Alabama. I'm not sure that'll change regardless of who you hire.

SEC is more of a "what are you doing for me now?" type league. Gus can't beat Georgia and Alabama. He's struggled with LSU, and he's losing one OOC game a year.

8-4 in the SEC gets you fired if you can't do any better. Remember, Auburn fired Chizik two years removed from a National Championship.

Ole Miss fired Cutcliffe one year after the only division title they've won.

Do you think Blake Anderson would be interested in Memphis if that job opens up. It just does not seem like a good fit to me.
