It's about time. Winning gets passé after so much of it.

I'm not so sure. Here's one Virginia voter who switched last week from Northam (a good man, at heart) to Gillespie (another good man) thanks to the disgusting and insulting approach taken by Northam supporters Brian Fallon and the Latin Victory Fund. That brand of campaigning should never be rewarded.

I suspect that I'm not alone.

RE: 2017 elections (VA and NJ)
I thought the Democrats in Virginia finally nominated somebody who was really a Democrat and not the type of lunatic they tend to put forward in recent times. The poor guy seems to have be co-opted by the lunatic fringe. He never seems very comfortable being the social justice warrior attack dog that the left wants him to be.

Be comfortable in your own skin or it's too bad so sad. His shady dealing and fibbing to cover up ties to that sleazy ad should in itself disqualify him.

I expect there will be a significant backlash against Northam over that ad. It may not be enough to cost him the election, we'll see.

Forever I've been under the assumption that democrats are just being coy about the whole "Right is racist" dribble but it could very well be that they're truly dumb enough to have accidentally convinced themselves that it's true, while at the same time ripping apart any minority or woman that doesn't share their views.

Gillespie was up 1 at 19%.

Now he's down 1 at 29%.

This guy is pretty solid. Noted R% Are the same in their key areas when compared to 2016 but not the raw numbers.
D strongholds are showing strong turnout.

Northam up by 2.2 percent with 46 percent of the vote counted. The NY Times projects him to win by 7.6 percent based on what is still out there and needs to be counted, although that percentage has dipped some (it was over 8 percent earlier).

New Jersey called for the Democrat Murphy. Not a surprise but New Jersey now has a Democratic governor and two Democratic senators. So you can once again move that state to all blue.

Interesting that he is running ahead of the Lt. Gov. and Attorney General. If its like November, the late precincts will be Democratic.

I haven't paid any attention whatsoever to the Virginia election. The only thing I saw was some ad where a white guy in a truck with a Confederate flag chased down a rainbow coalition of children.

I guess that's what passes for politics these days.

i wondere how many Virginians know that the flag on that truck was actually the battle flag of northern virginia and not the confederate flag. i know you know but seriously, its kinda ironic.

I'd say about the same number of SJWs who know what that flag on the state line in most southern states is next to Great Britain, France, Spain, and the US.

Trump already throwing Gillespie under the bus with his tweet from Korea.

'Ed Gillespie worked hard but did not embrace me or what I stand for.'

Throwing him under the bus?

I don’t think he even asked Trump to come turnout some rallies for him.

Like him or hate him, he still turns out a crowd. Not sure how that could have hurt an establishment guy like Gillespie?
