That must have been made prior to SDSU beating NDSU- was my first reaction. I think sdsu will be seeded higher than 8 if they win out.

Looks like this takes account for the weekend... Amazing how ndsu loses and it didn't change a thing for them ... but Any other team loses and they drop multiple spots...

Worst part off it all is the idea of shsu being 7 with sdsu at 8 ....

So do you think there is a better 8-1 team out there?

RE: Hate this bracket
“The traditional thought proccess says if a team loses, they will fall in the polls. But after stacking up all the 8-1 resumes side-by-side, NDSU still edges everyone with strength of schedule.“

Seems reasonable to me.

No - If I was making the bracket NDSU would still be the #2 seed.

Just like if JMU slips up and loses a close one, especially if they just have a game where they make uncharacteristic mistakes like the Bisons 5 turnovers, in my opinion they are still #1. One game doesn't make a season

Wow he really does take the “if it ended today” literal to the last team. The big south isn’t getting an at-large but he gave it to them today just because of wins and losses, without realizing neither Monmouth nor Kennesaw state have beaten anyone of note all season.

Jax St only lost to an FBS team (Ga Tech).

you lost to an FCS.

Doesn't matter who anyone "thinks" might win. That's all speculation. But on paper, yes, I would put Jax St's resume ahead of NDSU.

Same with Central Arkansas. Also undefeated against FCS (only lost to Kansas St) and has a win over a Top 10 FCS team (soft houston). Something NDSU does NOt currently have.

That's a tough bracket no matter what side you're on.

A lot of that, though, depends on how teams show up in the playoffs. Like last year, will SHSU crumble? I still have questions about Jacksonville St., too.

That being said, the easy solution is to keep winning games.

Agree, they are #2 at this point.

Based on right now, and not how you think the teams will finish? SD (7-2) just lost to UNI, and has @ NDSU and SDSU in the next 2 weeks. Think they lose both of those, to finish with 3 straight losses. Still make the playoffs at 7-4. Based on how I think the teams will finish I would replace SD with SBU.

Based on how I think they'll finish record wise (not counting I-A losses or Div II wins), with all the below 11 teams winning out except for:
-Elon losing to JMU
-Wofford losing to S Carolina.

1) JMU (11-0)
2) Jax St (10-0). Remaining: @ Tenn Martin (5-4), Tenn St (5-4)
3) Central Arkansas (10-0), Remaining: @ Incarnate Word (1-8), Abilene Christian (2-7)
4) ND State (10-1). Remaining: SD (7-2), @ ILSU (7-3)
5) SDSU (9-2). Remaining: ILSU (6-3), @ SD (7-2).
6) Soft Houston (9-1). Remaining: @ Abilene Christian (2-7), Houston Baptist (1-8).
7) Elon (9-1) (7 of 8 wins have been by TD or less, 1 in OT).
8) Wofford (9-1) (7 of 8 wins have been by TD or less, 2 in OT). Remaining: @ 0-10 VMI, @ USC.

First out:
-SUU (9-1) IF win out would likely finish 2-0 or 3-0 vs playoffs teams, but a bad loss @ Sac State. Remaining: @ UC Davis (5-4), NAU (6-3).
-SBU (9-1): Remaining: Wagner & @ Maine. Possibly finish 1-1 vs playoff teams, losing to UD, beating UNH. Don't play Elon or JMU.
-Weber St (8-1): Lost SUU by 16. Beat Montana & EWU.

-Most likely top 8 to lose a game and drop out: SDSU, or Elon @ UNH.
-Of course if NDSU loses another they don't drop out, but would fall somewhere between #5-#8.

I know voters have a different perspective but I just look at what programs do in ooc games and playoffs also. Both the Bison and JMU have been heads and shoulders above the other teams they ha e played the last couple years. Unless there is a big meltdown by either team or they actually lose when it matters I still think they are the best 2 in the nation
