AccuWeather says kickoff temp will be in mid-30s, with a small chance for snow. Probably just cold but dry.

Good news: CMU gives up 205 yards per game on the ground, toward the bottom of the MAC. We probably won't get up to 205 on them, but a better than usual rushing threat from us will be greatly helpful.

Bad news: They return Joe Ostman, their best DE, from injury.

Our coaches know this full well. Leave our OT's on an island on a 5-7 step drop play, and it's on them if Roback gets sacked. Either get the ball out quickly, or help with a TE or RB. Not rocket science.

Pretty sure Neathery will play safe coverage and avoid giving up the deep ball at all costs. Make Morris throw accurate short and intermediate stuff, which he hasn't proven he can do consistently.......and get pressure on him, and he'll get flustered. They can't double and chip both our DE's.

Yep. We have Robinson + a TE to help with blocking. It's all about scheming (the good sense of the word).

Agreed. Even if Oraha's average is lower, Julien has punted DIRECTLY AT THE DEFENDER twice in the redone.

Don't mean to throw the kid under the bus, and I'm sure he'll get better, but just let Oraha do it the boring old fashioned way.

Agree. There's a time and a place where rugby-style is ok. Doing is from your own side of the field in the 4th quarter of a close game is not the time or the place.
