I have a lot of respect for NDSU and their fans. They've been analyzing the playoffs for more years than JMU has even been in them. I think they gave us props last year for beating them in their building, and they're still the yardstick to be measured against this season.

Perhaps I may be looking at them through purple shades (which I fully admit), but this year's NDSU squad doesn't look like the world beater they usually do. Last year I felt like they were much more solid all across the board. Their inconsistent offense hasn't hurt them yet due to their improved defense.
Their true test of how good they are will be these next three weeks, which are incredibly brutal for them. I do not believe they are going to make it out undefeated. I have no idea who they may lose to, but I believe it will be due to their offense. It definitely will be a close loss if they have one.
If they do win out, I have no doubt they'll be in Frisco.

It appears as though we could replace NDSU in this statement with JMU and it is the same thing. The two teams seem to mirror each other in many ways.

I was thinking the same thing. I think we get a slight edge, as both defenses are very good, but we are at least a little better and certainly more consistent offensively.

Completely disagree. The perfect example of this was Sam Houston State of last year. They won every single game until they played us and I think most of us agreed that they were not "world beaters"... especially after that game was over. They played a soft schedule, didn't have to travel very far and had to deal with little to no adversity along their season. When they were finally dealt with some versus us, they crumbled.
Jacksonville State is another example. With the exception of their FBS games (which they lost), for the last few years they win every FCS game they play, yet they lose in the playoffs.
Look at any team that gets out of the MEAC. Does an undefeated MEAC team look like a world beater? I certainly don't think so and history proves that.
Not all schedules are the same. I think a team with 1 loss can look more like a "world beater" than an undefeated team with a soft schedule.

Sam Houston is a joke! And they don't play in the Missouri Valley Conference. If they did, they would probably have a losing record right now.

JMU has been in the playoffs 13 times over the last 30 seasons. NDSU fans have been analyzing the playoffs since their run started, for the last 6 seasons, or 7 if you include this year..

You're only counting FCS. They were winning DII championships long before they moved up to I-AA. And long before JMU had a football team.

Plus, except for ice fishing and picking dingleberries off buffalo what else do their fans have to do during the winter except analyze football?

They know it's been a long winter when people start ice fishing for buffalo.
