It's probably more than that. What do you think the World Series has meant for Houston economically? I'd easily say it's closing in on a billion dollars or more, although a lot of that money is being spent by Houstonians. The sports bars and restaurants tonight around town are all completely packed.

What do I think the World Series has meant as far as NEW money in the Houston economy? Not a whole lot. I'll wait for the sales tax figures to be released before I decide if it's close to $50 million.
