The opposition ad shows minority children seemingly being chased by a driver in a pickup truck, decked out with a Confederate flag, a “Gillespie for governor” bumper sticker and a “Don’t tread on me” license plate.

The driver makes his way toward the scared children who shout, “Run! Run! Run!” when they see the truck. The ad concludes with a scene of a Charlottesville-like rally, with a narrator asking: “Is this what Donald Trump and Ed Gillespie mean by the ‘American Dream?’”

Northam’s campaign told Fox News Tuesday that the ad was “not shocking” based on Gillespie’s campaign.

“Independent groups are denouncing Ed Gillespie because he has run the most divisive, fear-mongering campaign in modern history,” Northam campaign spokeswoman Ofirah Yheskel said in a statement to Fox News. “It is not shocking that communities of color are scared of what his Trump-like policy positions mean for them.”

But Gillespie said the ad was “an attack on” his “supporters,” whom he calls “good decent hardworking Virginians who love their neighbors.”

Who pays for the social safety net. What workers rights specifically do you support that don't exist. Why are you bigoted against the world that is not developed? What do you consider adequate access to healthcare? Why do you want to label people sick or disturbed?

The issue is, that given your preference, you would put the people for whom these ads are created, in positions of power and influence. The ad is the lowest form of stereotyping and leads to increased racial divide in the area in which it is viewed. The fact that the candidate approved, and stands behind, the ad shows a level of derangement. The act of supporting such a deranged candidate requires that the supporter also must possess some level of derangement. I admit that it was speculation as to whether or not licking windowsills or baseboards led to said derangement.

They have pulled the ad after successfully dog-whistling one of their libturd loons into killing people, just like the Scalise shooting.

Wash. Rinse. Repeat.
