Maybe not necessarily the materials they used but the overall uniform design itself, I thought looked great.
I liked them too...I still think the Reds we wore in the late CUSA days were incredible too.
I liked the design as well (2004-2007). However, even if we were still with Nike those designs are considered archaic today. The unis would probably like something like San Diego State's
Edit: For the record, I have posted before I am not a fan of the triangles on our uniforms and find the UA gear to be over priced.
Exactly, 2004-2007 were the best uniforms we've had.
And I agree, what we had back then is definitely "outdated" now. Sadly, college football uniforms have trended towards something embarrassing. What is "up to date" now is an endless amount of helmets, jerseys and pants. Hardly any team has an identity anymore. Have you seen the crap Syracuse is wearing? Or the garbage Ohio State wore last week? I can't even tell what team is who anymore.
I'm terrified to imagine what we'll be looking at in 5-10 years. Hopefully the "retro" trend takes over, teams simplify things, stop trying to imitate Oregon and go back to some normalcy

Their "designers" know almost nothing about making a shoe that performs, looks good, and frankly holds up to standards of actual use. I remember when their shoes first came out I was working at Dicks Sporting Goods in college.. as a Dicks employee we got the shoes at 60% off. The shoes I got lasted less than 4 flag football games before my foot ripped out the side of the shoe.. working at dicks I heard many of the same stories. I bought them because they were super cheap, not because they looked good. Had I known they were as trash as they were(and people I know who have bought anything besides their football cleats recently have said very similar things) I would have saved my money. I still contend UA is like the rich kid who moved on the block and may have changed the game(with compression shorts and other gear they were far ahead of everyone), but being that cool expensive brand doesn't last if your product hasn't changed in 10 years now but you still expect to get the premium $$... I can't remember spending 1 dime on UC UA gear simply bc the price was super high and the quality was subpar to anything Nike is putting out these days. It's sad that by far the best UA unis I have seen are the throwback Nike wannabes from the game v UCONN.. simply put UA has been passed by the others since UA always thought they were the Apple of the gear game and never needed to discount their products
I own around 20 pairs of nike cross trainers, 3 reebok cross trainers, 2 brooks running shoes, and 1 pair of under armor cross trainers. I have 3 needs from shoes, hold up to my workouts (unfortunately, less and less of a thing these days), when I'm coaching for 2 to 4 hours at a time (which includes playing on occasion so they have to hold up to lateral movement and jumping), and being comfortable when I have to stand for 6 to 9 hours at a volleyball tournament. The under armor shoes are the best ones I own. Unfortunately, I got them at the outlet in Monroe and the follow up versions aren't as comfortable.

I like UA for workout clothes...they do the best job at the 'performance' stuff. They are pricey, but they are worth it.
UA shoes suck however.

For athletic shorts and sweatshirts I actually think Champion makes nice gear.

I got a nice Russell polo for less money than an Under Armour T-shirt. It's still possible to get sharp UC gear without breaking the bank.
However, even though UA is overpriced, their high end stuff still looks better than Adidas' and Nike's high end stuff IMO. I'm still thrilled by the apparel contract between UA and UC.

Champion makes excellent, durable products at a fair price point. Costco also offered some quality UC polo and wind shirts this fall at modest prices.
I'm glad UC is getting good money from UA. Frankly though, the sideline polo shirts this year are pretty generic with a screen print C-Paw and a sleeve tag with "1819" affixed. Check out the other UA schools and they all got the same. At about $84 in the Bookstore, that's a premium price--more than double what similar shirts go for and maybe $20 more than the comparable Adidas shirts under the previous contract.
So I hope UC is actually selling more licensed merchandise; not just harvesting more dollars per unit from the loyal fanbase.
