RE: Week 10 CAA Standings & Games
I know the majority would pick UNH to beat W&M, even with UNH's starting QB being out, but an interesting tidbit. McDonnell is 0-7 in Williamsburg:
01’ W&M 38, UNH 28 (W&M playoffs).
03’ W&M 38, UNH 28
05’ W&M 42, UNH 10 (UNH 10-1, playoffs, seed).
09’ W&M 20, UNH 17 (both teams playoffs).
11’ W&M 24, UNH 10 (UNH playoffs).
13’ W&M 17, UNH 0 (UNH playoffs/semis).
15’ W&M 34, UNH 13 (both teams playoffs).

I looked on 5dimes lines under "College Extra" and I can't find the line on the JMU game. As for Sagarin, we come in at #60 with a rating of 72.18. Rhode Island is #196 with a rating of 40.20. We should be a 30-32 point favorite.

RE: Week 10 CAA Standings & Games
SBU loses Timon Parris, one of the best players in the CAA, to season ending injury.
https://www.foxsports.com/college-footba...ury-103117

Parris was the 3rd CAA pre season All American out for season to injury.

-Albany's RB Elijah Ibitokun-Hanks was the 1st, Although it wasn't announced until early Nov, he played in only one game this season back in Sept.

-Villanova's Safety Rob Rolle, the CAA Defensive POTY, went out for the season in mid Sept.

RE: Week 10 CAA Standings & Games
What was the point spread for Elon@URI a couple weeks ago when Elon won by 1 pt? URI has proven to be much better than their 2-win record would suggest - several tough losses. It's hard to get up for a game in that tiny dump that would not even meet the standards of many of the high school's facilities that these players came from. I expect the Dukes to win, but I expect just as tough a game from URI as any CAA team.

I'm shocked that Elon keeps getting it done wile living on the edge. All seven wins have been decided by 6 points or less. That said, I don't see Towson or UNH beating them, so in all likelihood the CAA Championship will take place at their house on Nov 18 when JMU visits.

Tiny (6.5k), yes. A dump, no. Not sure where you got that from.03-confused Yea it’s the size of a decent sized HS stadium, but most HS stadiums don’t look like this:

Probably one of the nicer looking under 7k stadiums you’ll see. Plus a big bonus for no track around the field. Of course size wise more appropriate for a Patriot or NEC school.

It actually looks nicer than the picture, and if you notice all the seats are located between the 20's or so. Much better viewing than virtually every away game we have, where we are tucked in a corner on the goal line or worse.

Cut Rhode Island some slack. If Luxembourg invaded Rhode Island, they'd be in trouble.

RE: Week 10 CAA Standings & Games
For those going to the game, do me a favor and walk in the Ryan Center before/after the game. It is an 8,000 seat arena designed by the same company designing JMU's Union Bank & Trust center. Perhaps you can tell us pros and cons of what you see.

P.s. I just noticed the original convo center plans called for suites and the new Union Bank & Trust center only mentions the club section and courtside premium chairs, but no suites. I hope that is an innocent omission and not a foolish plan to eliminate all suites in an arena built in today's world. If JMU wants to maximize revenue they will build at least some suites to tap into premium revenue.

Great looking arena. 2 decks all around (save for a small corner). But I am a sucker for symmetry. Looks larger than 7700.

URI definitely has nice campus and facilities but most of what you're looking at is their A-10 caliber basketball arena, not a "football stadium".

True, but behind that brick and glass overlooking the stadium are the coaches’boxes, press boxes, and suites.

My whole point in responding to the OP was small doesn’t mean a dump.

Yep. If you look at the best away CAA stadiums for visiting fans, you 1st have to eliminate the ones with tracks around them because it’s puts you so far away. That leaves UD, SBU, Elon, and URI. The only one where you’re guaranteed to be between the 20s (and can probably sit between the 40s) and can get somewhat high up is URI.
