Who wants to bet?
That USF is not in the first CFP Poll released this Tuesday? I say their weak SoS hurts them.
$100? Any takers? They are in, and you win. They are out and I win.

LOL. Brave man you are. Of course they are probably out. They were out of ESPN's and CBS' and the AP polls. Only in the Coaches.
Here's a better bet. I'll bet you $1000 that SDSU is not in the first CFP Poll.

They shouldn't be. Here are their wins:

Nah, not taking that. However, I do think SDSU would have more "votes" this weak than USF, but as we know, they don't publish those.

Agreed. And if they win out, their only quality win would be UCF, and potentially SMU/Memphis/Navy. Best situation for the AAC is UCF or Memphis.

Whichever one of the 3 (UCF/USF/Memphis) wins the AAC will get the NY6 bowl. Even USF will then have 2 recent Top 25 wins.

I disagree regarding USF. Right now, they have the 108th ranked SoS. Just in front of UTEP, and just behind Old Dominion. This is however up from 126th, prior to the Houston game.

RE: Who wants to bet?
I agree they'd get the bowl spot and would deserve it over the other G5 champs if they win out

the lack of genuine in your posts is so blinding
99.999% of people have usf a lock if they win out..you are the .001
has a decent chance to be ranked this week, they will 100% be ranked in 2 weeks
usf is at worst 27, with 4 low top 25 slated 4 to lose next weak

Dude, USF would have to win out, beat UCF and then Memphis to win the AAC. That would be back to back Top 25 wins. They would be 11-1. Of course they would get the bid.

Yes if USF does not lose again and they defeat undefeated UCF and 1 loss Memphis they are the top G5 and go without question.
The only way for a 1 loss team not to go from the AAC would be USF winning the league but UCF gets knocked off prior to battle of i4 and Memphis or the West champ has more than 1 loss.... And maybe QF getting hurt to put doubt in the voters mind that USF wouldnt be competitive in a high tier bowl game.....And if that happened? Boise State, SDSU, or Toledo would have to go on a rampage and win out by 30+ with their losses being to teams who win P5 leagues.

any way you slice it, the AAC will get the NY6 bid most likely....as it will be most years
the G4 schools will rise up every now and then and grab it but other wise, its for the AAC

The NCAA already sent the check to the AAC in the mail with a nice message "Thank you for the upcoming P6 competition in the NY6 bowl. We look forward to seeing you in 2018 too. We (picture of a heart) you!"

A lot of hoping and dreaming on here. For even a shot at the AAC not getting the bid is gonna require a 2 loss champ, and probably a 3 loss champ.

If USF won out they would get the bowl, They will have beaten Us ranked, and Memphis ranked in champ game. No other G4 would be even close.

I don't think they've had their last loss. They have to face UCF too. But, if they win on out they're in regardless of the ranking of this week. Their advantage is the conference strength. If Memphis, USF, or UCF win out they're in. UCF is the most likely as they've already destroyed Memphis and probably beat USF and win the title game, though if they played Memphis a second time it is a huge advantage for the Tigers. The AAC champ with 1 loss is almost a shoe in at this point. 2 losses for the AAC champ and it goes into the crap shoot selection mode.

RE: Who wants to bet?
This thread cracks me up. The reality is that the AAC champion whether is UCF/USF/Memphis would all be ahead of any other conference champion.
As for the playoff poll no USF wont be there but as we can see from the AP poll they are ahead of SDSU or any other nonAAC team and if they win out they will be in

A sure bet is the weak MWC will be shut out and the list populated by P6 schools.
