Carter re-entered the game a little after he was injured and examined by the medical staff.

Hope Marshall is okay. I feel like we are using Marshall the wrong way. He doesn't seem to be as effective in our scheme as he was at GT. Maybe more passing options for him, more option reads? Don't know.

I think we need to get Marshall going laterally either with more counter plays or hand it off to him on a jet sweep. He is too indecisive and hesitant hitting the hole in the read option between tackles.

I thought it was more of the opposite in that he isn't being patient enough in waiting on holes to open.

Press Conference Call, about Marshall, Houston said (approximately): "he got dinged up. we were being cautious. We expect him this week".

As far as I recall, this has always been the public statement by him or the coaches. But yeah, from up in the stands it looks like more often he would do better if he hit the hole harder. And ok, he got held out of UNH for the reason given above and had nothing stats for that game. Over all, it's not like his stats are bad. They are below expectations. Looks to me like there's still some adjustment thing going on, and he's still in limbo. To some extent he's pausing when he should charge, and charging when he should pause. I'm still assuming this will sort itself out until I know it won't.

There aren't many holes opening for any of our backs...not just MM. MM looked good on his 2 TD's runs at W&M the week before. One on a nice run to the left side where Stinnie and Bolden gave him a crease. The other was a 1 yd plunge where he just ran over the W&M defender.

RE: Marcus Marshall
Coach mentioned during the CAA call this morning that Marshall was a little dinged up on Saturday and there was no reason to put him back in. He will be fine for Saturday
