Accuweather suggests that the weather will be good. Around 60 degrees for the game.

Thursday is the best day of the week.

WMU scored 55, CMU 56 & Toledo 58.

30 would be sorry. Our D will probably have to help the O by scoring 2 or 3 times themselves, haha.

We're having trouble because the website goes 3 days out and that changes from day to day, was Thursday and now 3 days out is Friday.

My read is that the temps should be fairly warm with light rain on Thursday.

RE: Game Week: BSU
Should be interesting to see how a 6:00 p.m. start time effects attendance.

First, attendance will be small. The team is 2 - 6, although a very interesting 2 - 6.

For students who live on campus or near campus, do they prefer an earlier start to the game (why have an extra hour to kill before 7).

Will students tailgate or not? Would they rather tailgate at 4:30 - 5:30 then say 5 - 6:30?

I assume it will kill tailgating for those who work during the day. Who is going to take off work at 2 or 3 to tailgate? And if there are many (doubt it) who travel say 25+ miles to get to Ypsi, I doubt they would come. Many would have to leave work early.

BSU's contribution to the attendance should be say 50.

Thoughts?

RE: Game Week: BSU
I hate 6:00 kicks. They kill the atmosphere anywhere in the MAC. Last week NIU had a tiny crowd for a 6:00 local kickoff.

Some students and parents will tailgate, but nothing like homecoming. Students showed up surprisingly well for the NIU and CMU mid-week games last year. Given our record (and being 1-2 at home), probably won't be quite as good as last year though.

Not expecting much from non-students. They are pushing the light show heavily. Hopefully that gets at least a littke attention.

I will likely be missing class to attend.

I don’t plan on tailgating and many of my friends don’t plan on going at all. For most, the tailgate means more than the game. If it rains then the Student crowd could be bad. If it’s nice, I’d expect an average to above average group for a MACtion game.

For students, I don’t think that six or seven makes much difference. 7 may be preferable as it gives more time to tailgate. But six is probably better for working fans.

I get out of work at 2:45 and am heading straight to Rynearson to tailgate. 15-20 miles away. Am I the outlier....yes.

BTW, this stat looks back at the NIU game:

Amazing but EMU lost to NIU in OT both 2016 and 17.

That is crazy.

CMU plays WMU tonight. They'll have an extra day of rest for our game in Mt. Pleasant next Wednesday.

CMU is without their best man on the DL, Joe Ostman, and Western is running right down their throat. 3 rushing TDs and 242 rushing yards with 2:00 left in 2Q.

Central looks pretty bad, and Morris is terrible. Unbelievable he was ever a big 4 star recruit for Michigan.

CMU RB seems decent, and all Morris does is try to force it to Conklin. We should absolutely beat this team next week.
Morris 3/13, 52 yards 1st half. CMU 30 yards rushing.

WMU absolutely destroying them on the ground, 241 yards rushing 1st half.

Wow. After a comedy of errors on both sides, CMU ties it up with 5:50 left. Rain causing a lot of turnovers.

We tried to lose that game and still won somehow. WMU has an awful QB and awful receivers. Idk if they even completed a pass to a receiver.

CMU had 204 yards after the 3rd quarter. They had *205* in the 4th quarter alone! Holy crap.
