Rich Nagy needs to go. He has had more than 5 years coaching and recruiting our defense, and we see no improvement. If Wilder can not demote Nagy maybe Wilder needs to go too. We have never had an above average defense since BW has been here. Maybe BW can not tell when we have a good defense if he sees one. It is time for changes. Since he can not fire Nagy maybe he can dmeote him and let an assistant call the defensive plays for the rest of the year. It is time for change.

We can't fire him, BW forced us to give these guys 2 year contracts. If next year looks like this one, then we should see a lot of new assistants.

Yeah, I know we can't fire him, but we can demote him. I seriously doube if his contract states he is Defensive Cooridinator. I doubt is he has got to make all of the defensive calls. Why can't someone else make the calls on defense or devise the game plan?

Yes, they can fire any of the coaches. Just because they have 2 year contracts doesn't mean they can't be fired. It may cost ODU some coin, but they can fire the coaches. Depends on how deep the alumni pockets are and how badly they want change.

BW's buyout 1.5 mil. No way their fired. Look forward to next year. 'Cause this one is ovah.

Do you happen to know the buyouts of any of the assistants? I would assume coordinators are more than the rest of the assistants.

Not sure on the buyouts. I would put my money on BW not even touching Scott/Whitcomb/Buggs/Comissiong.

The 4 assistants you mentioned should be safe. I think Malone should be safe too since the OL has improved as during this season. The OL is not great but they are improving and this is Malone's second year. I think Arrick Forrest the WR coach should be out because the WRs have gotten worse as the year has progressed.

Wilder's buyout is is $1.5 million until 12/1/2017. $1.2 million after that until 12/1/2018 and down $300k a year after that. The Pilot has a copy of his contract on their site.
