2 loss G5s arent usually pardoned unless they are double digits and 2. Houstons loss to Tulsa hurts, but wins against UA and USF stand out. Im not sure if people think Arizona wasnt as good without Tait? Or if they are forgiving UAs loss to Houston because it was early in the year? Houston will have a chance to move in a couple weeks I bet. USF will have trouble staying because theyve played 1 top 90? Team and lost that game. And it wasnt a top 10 type team.

houston has a better QB now than they did when they played arizona as well. USF would have walked over a kyle allen led houston.

Well when the Massey composites come out, try to rationalize USF being better than Arizona with Arizonas wins and USFs lack their of. In their only remote test against a good opponent they failed. I still think USF will go 10-2, but they are at best a cusp top25 team.

i'm not arguing that usf is better than arizona. i'm just saying losing a game to houston shouldn't be a disqualifier for the top 25. anyway the coaches poll agrees.

Thats fair i guess. It obviously isnt a disqualifier because Arizona is in and USF has 98 votes. Imo thats where USF belongs about 26th in the country.

Arizona put in Tate in the 4th quarter. He led the Wildcats on a 30 yard drive for a FG and then tossed an INT with a chance to win the game.

He's looked like a world beater in the PAC Ten because those schools don't play defense. For the most part, UH does. We've had a solid recent history of making stellar QBs look bad (looking at you, Lamar/UofL) or mediocre (Mayfield).

If S. Florida had something (anything) of value on their resume, they could have faded the 1 loss.

They simply don't.

Doesn’t matter for USF the important part is winning next two games and then the Black Friday game is the important one that’s the same situation they were before the Houston loss

Well, the only possible difference is IF USF beats UCF, and USF and Memphis wind up with the same record, then the rankings will matter as to who gets home field for the CCG.
