Clearly our previous level of competition has greatly influenced our opinion of our abilities. Nice to see one good team on our field, at least.

The league needs to wake up to FIU. They absolutely earned this win.

Good game Marshall, gotta respect the "ain't over til it over" mentality of your team.

No offense at all to FIU because they earned the win, but neither of our teams are really any good. Our records are products of horrible competition. I'm just tired of mediocre football.

I mean Tulane played USF to the wire so perhaps speak for yourselves.

Ah yes, the transitive property is a great argument in football all the time. Marshall played NC State tough so we should take pride in that right?

RE: gg FIU
Well, Chase alone lost this game for us. That stupid ass fkn fumble right from jump (way to set the tone of the game Chase) and his Bill Legg out route pick six. Defense finally woke up but our offense just takes too long to get going. We are like a steam locomotive in that we have to light the boiler and take on water and wait for steam before we can move.

That and Vedvik is a rodeo ass clown when it comes to kicking field goals...wasn't his fault today, but our lack of a kicker also left points on the field.

All of that notwithstanding, FIU capitalized which is what good teams do...especially on the road...so congratulations Panthers

You should and I don’t think fiuforyou in any way tried to insult Marshall fans nor tried to brag about how good FIU is. I think Marshall is the better team and still is one of CUSA top dogs but we were able to capitalize turnovers and came away with the W today. Not too many of us thought we could win this game.

Well they've now beat a 6-1 team and we have not and you can't use the transitive property to show why our record was invalid after that statement.

That is true. I, certainly, didn't. In fact, before FIU's wins over Tulane and Marshall, I circled Owls game versus FIU as a certain win. Now, I am nervous. I am going to the game and it does not look like a mere formality as I thought previously. This is going to be the best Shula Bowl game ever.

Perhaps even better than that 57-50 game in 2008.

I hope Butch has this game circled on the calendar. It may very well be a fight for the East division.

Proud of the way the kids have responded under Butch Davis. I certainly did not expect to beat Tulane, let alone Marshall last week. Still, too early to tell if FIU will continue its upward trending or if it stops with the big win at Marshall. Marshall did fight u till the end, even when it appeared the game was out of reach after the 3rd quarter.

It's on to UTSA this week in Miami, so it's another team we are supposed to lose to, according to experts. I'd be ecstatic with another upset, though I don't expect it. Go Panthers!
