Dukester even more famous now
I see The Breeze has a feature article for Homecoming on how Dukester converted the old streamer tradition from basketball into a staple for JMU football games.
Kids and kids at heart have much love for the one and only Dukester.

I recall the many times when Dukester passed out streamers throughout the crowd before the game. He gave me many. I even helped him pass some out on occasion.

It was fun in the early days helping Dukester hand out streamers. I felt like a rock star at that W&M Semi final game in 2004. After several beverages wandering through the tailgate lot handing out streamers... good times!

The first time I became aware of Dukester was when I saw some guy running along the track where the cheerleaders stand at the old City Stadium trying to gather up the streamers before they blew on the field. I was impressed.

Used to love running through the stands with a huge trash bag of streamers before games. Has anyone found a link to this article yet? I can't find it on the Breeze website.

In the post game, Bryan Schor said something to the effect that seeing the streamers fly after a touchdown will be his top Bridgeforth memory
