If all the forensic evidence was taken off the server yes... Eventually every crime scene is released. Further, Mach, it would have been borderline instane to put the server back in any environment *WITHOUT* wiping it. Once a server is eve close to compromised you need to wipe it.

The Secretary of State had no knowledge of wiping the server. It was Kennesaw State that did that. And the data is still around, not destroyed.
