How many people had this game circled on their calendars when the season started?

About 58 Eagle Superfans and the 2000 FSU alumni attending.

Average SU fan FB home attendance this season to date: 33,762

Average BC fan FB home attendance this season to date: 35,418

SU fans should be the last ones to mock any other school about it’s fans, IMO. You look foolish when you do. 05-nono

Let's be serious your attendance was fluffed up by 20k Notre Dame Fans for your only game that was close to a sellout. The CMU game was played in front of nothing close to 32k fans. Friday night Cuse had a legit 40-42k for Clemson once our tardy students got there...so you should have 42-44k for FSU by the 2nd quarter?. If so, I'll applaud your fan base for finally showing up as this game is huge for your bowl hopes.

My point stands. Who said there was 32K for the CMU game? Actually, it was the lowest attendance for BC this season - 27K. Yet, BC’s average to date still exceeds SU’s numbers! BC’s game against Wake Forest drew over 38K, which was higher than any SU home game to date except Clemson. And remember, the Dome seats more than Alumni so the fact that SU’s average attendance to date is less than BC’s is even more notable.

And no, there were not 20K ND fans at Alumni Stadium for the BC-ND game. I was there. Were you?

Look, I like SU. It is a great program that has been a strong rival to BC longer than either you and I have probably been alive. I have enjoyed many BC-SU games. Losing many of those games - but winning many too.

Sorry, what I cannot stand are fans who mock other schools for things that their own beloved programs can hardly crowe about. In this case - for this year anyway - SU fans have no quarter to mock BC fans about fan attendance. Again, you look foolish when doing so.

RE: Pickem Week 9 is open
For FSU on Friday: BC sent season ticket holders two free end zone tickets for this event, so that should add to the count.

BC Interuption: To the naked eye, there appeared to be some fudging of the figures in the Wake game, where it looked more like 32,000 or so then the announced 38,000....sooooo...

My point stands too...I made a joke and you got your panties in a wad but your attendance is padded and has been helped by Notre Dame and ticket giveaways.

That’s what you are going with? BC pads the numbers? Riiiiiiiggghhht. Oh, and of course, the SU numbers aren’t inflated at all, right? Only BC pads their numbers. Sure.

I am a season ticket holder. I am actually at these games. Based on my observations AT THE GAMES, I believe the numbers reported generally reflect how much the stadium is filled. You have no evidence that these numbers are inflated. What we do know is that BC’s average fan attendance to date is higher than SU’s. Period. End of story.

For arguments sake, even IF BC’s numbers were a bit inflated - something I think is just not accurate - that does not take away from the fact that, IMO, SU’s attendance numbers have not been good this year. Again, SU fans have no quarter mocking BC for fan attendance. That should be pretty clear.

Look, if this were a Clemson, FSU, or ND fan commenting on BC attendance, I would have just grinned and not commented. They have actually EARNED the right to make such comments. A SU fan? Not so much, IMO.

Finally, please spare me your indignation that you think I am getting my “panties in a wad” over your joke. If I made the same joke about SU fan attendance, you or one of your fellow SU fans would not have let that go under the bridge. Good lord.

Well, ok...but just for your reference, my numbers are from the official box score.

Yes, should be close to a sellout, if not a sellout. Great night expected weather-wise, big-time opponent, and it was designated before the season as the annual “Red Bandanna” game (which, I am sure everyone knows the significance of that). No excuse for not having a good crowd. I do expect it will be a late arriving crowd. Friday night games have always been bloody awful traffic wise as the rush hour out of Boston on a Friday night is just crazy to begin with - now, throw in a game in the middle of it and; well, you get the picture.

Also, added to this is the fact that the area all around Alumni Stadium is a construction site as there is the new FB indoor practice facility going up next to the Stadium and the new Student Recreation Center going up just adjacent to the Stadium. See the webcams below. (FWIW, lots of his spending on athletic facilities - the new football IPF, the Rec Certer, and a new baseball - softball complex on the Brighton campus (it’s construction also can be seen via webcam link below, as well as other campus scenes).
