Both parties trying to lose
https://www.realclearpolitics.com/articl...35371.html

Republicans fight with each other and nominate a flake or two. Democrats go as far left as they possibly can.

This was my endgame and why I voted for Trump. I wanted both parties to implode and reform into a truly liberal and truly conservative parties.

For most people, that's their nightmare. If Bannon/Cruz was all the Republicans had to offer, I would become an independent.

3 or 4 parties, similar to Britain and Canada, might not be so bad, but two extremes would.

On a semi related note, the NC legislature overrode a Gov veto thus making it easier for third parties to get on the ballot and registered as official party. This will really help the Green party as NC was always one of their stumbling blocks in 50 state ballot access

Bannon is taking the party too far right and it’s frustrating. Moore from Alabama is a whack job and the primary challenger to Flake (before he dropped) is a nut job too. The Republican Party needs more centerists or even moderates but the Alex Jones’ are popping up everywhere since Trump. This definitely isn’t the party I joined.

I became an independent when McCain became the republican nominee, and I have not gone back.

I left after when it was Romney vs Obama. I didn’t like how much religion was being dragged into politics by the right. It was a turn off. I’m not an atheist. I’m a deist, so it was a pretty big factor.

I’ll just take “authentic”. I’ll take somebody doing what they say they are going to do.
Left or right.

The only true way to fully drain the swamp, take out both parties.

They both lost me long ago. I have not voted for a Presidential candidate of either party since Reagan. I might have voted for Clinton in his second term if he had not defiled the White House.

If I could have split my ticket, I would have voted for Clinton and Jack Kemp—the Art Laffer ticket.

I became in Independent after Bill Clinton was nominated. Hillary Clinton and John McCain are both the same since they both are neo-cons. Hillary Clinton worked as an intern for Republican Barry Goldwater's campaign. A lot of her views are mostly she learned from Goldwater and Kissinger. Barry Goldwater have been known against Affirmative Action and equal rights for minorities. That is why she said some racially sensitive comments back in the 1990s about blacks being super predators at the time for the ones who are serving in prison.

I encourage the alt-left to break off and create their own party. Run a bernie sanders/pochahontas ticket in 2020.

I'd love to see this map:

RE: Both parties trying to lose
Sadly, Bannon is correct on one issue. Trump filled his cabinet with swamp rats.

All those billionaires and millionaires in the cabinet. That includes the ones that paid Clintons for speeches from Wall street bankers.

Sessions is a swamp rat.
Zinke is a swamp rat. His son works for Whitefish. The electric company that won the contract to restore power in PR. Zinke is also friends to the owner of the company.
Ted Cruz is a swamp rat.
Perry is a swamp rat. He still does have Democratic ideals including giving dreamers free education in Texas.
Linda McMahan is part of the Hollywood crowd who her wrestling industry also have issues of sexual predators among their ranks. They turned a blind eye on the complaints when some of the legend wrestlers took some of the young men and made them have sex. Even her husband have been accused of sexually assaulting some of the Divas.

Have you noticed that many of the things that congress and senate pass are more in favor of the wealthy and big business, and not in favor of the the middle class, small business and the poor? The latest budget that was passed by the congress was cutting the Medicaid, Medicare and SSS/SSI which means it targets the disabled, the elderly and the poor more. Trump is getting that money to build the wall. The majority of this country is against the wall. Plus, the Republican leaders are keeping their pet projects like corporate welfare at the expense of certain groups.

Bernie could win the northeast. As for the northeast Republicans? They are the last true Teddy Roosevelt's Progressive Republicans who really do not care for the Southern Republicans or Trump for that matter.

Republicans are like 5 groups.
Progressive
Moderates
Liberterian
Tea Party
Trumpism
Constitutionalist Party

Democrats are divide in different groups.
Blue dog Moderates in the south
Conservative Democrats Clintons
Progressive Democrats FDR. JFK, Elizabeth Wariner
Liberal Progressives Bernie Sanders
Green Party Jill Stien

Communists have their own party.

There was an Independent Party formed by former Republican and Democrats that came together who were disturbed by the direction that the Clintons, Bushes and Trump have been taken this country. They knew that both parties that would lead us to a bad candidate of Hillary Clinton and Trump. Would you vote for somebody who have similar views as Trump, but not using vulgar language?
