Matthews 61%

Granted, MM reached the pinnacle in 2004 and Withers was only here 2 years.

In games that mattered (versus playoff teams) Withers: 1-5, about 17% winning percentage:
L @ VU (14')
W @ RU (14')
L Liberty (14')
L vs RU (15')
L @ W&M (15')
L Colgate (15')

Now MM was 7-5 in the playoffs. If you add regular season vs playoff teams over his 15 seasons, I'm sure he had a losing record, but nothing as bad as the 17% Withers had.

My fuel is from winning big games and especially playoff games not losing as a multiple TD favorite.

Both coaches had shortcomings which is why neither is still here.

I was wondering why nobody bothered to report this JMU bowl score.
It was because the wrong team won 27-7 and that terrible withers D shut out the green chickens for the final 50 minutes of the game. Ouch. How awful is ccu?

Coastal has only two FBS level recruiting classes. Most of their upperclassmen are still Big South caliber. Not surprised.

A battle of crappy teams. Withers offense shredded Mickey’s defense for 500 yards.

Mickey was in hburg Friday for the Alumni golf tournament.
