Does Stanford normally play a D2 game?

The only reason they aren't playing JMU is because they don't want to pay that much for a loss.

But a great game picked up by W&M. Hope they have an offense by then, because Stanford usually has a good defense.

Have to wonder if Laycock will still be coaching then, maybe that will be his swan song season.

That is a great get and would be an awesome road trip.

If he is he’d be 72, coaching his 41st season.

Talley coached 32 seasons at VU, retiring last year at 73 years old.

According to a 2016 Bleacher Report article they were only 2 HC over 70 at the IA level. Bill Snyder at K State was the oldest, now at 78. Frank Solich at Ohio U was next, now 73. Next was Rocky Long at San Diego St, now 68.

Yep. + Palo Alto is one of the most expensive areas of the country. I'm sure lodging, meals, transportation, etc will be more a lot more there than in most mid Atlantic P5 locations. But 650k is a nice paycheck will cover everything and leave the Eberts with a nice profit..

Stanford looked like crap last night against a 1 win Oregon State team. OSU has been outscored by an average of 27 points going into the game, but led the whole way till 20 seconds left-losing 15-14. If W&M can get their offense up to usual standards, they could keep this interesting for a while.

Year in and year out, Stanford is one of the most physical teams in college football. I don’t care who is playing offense for W&M, they are going to get destroyed. This is a body bag game.

I think most contracts cover expenses along with the payout but not 100% sure.
