I was just checking TV listings for Thursdays two MAC games, and neither game is listed on TV, and just the Toledo-Ball State game is on ESPN3. Why in the world are we playing these games midweek if they are not on national TV?????
Or are the tv listings on ESPN.com and MAC.com wrong?
Toledo playing on ESPN3. I think I read somewhere that EMU is playing on CBSN. Whoever from the MAC stopped us from playing on Saturday sucks. It's hard to fathom that we're stuck playing on a weekday without national television exposure.

Bad info.
EMU/NIU on CBS SN tonight.
EMU plays BSU on CBS SN next Thursday.
ESPN.COM for tonight must be a mistake.
I do believe every midweek game will be on either ESPN3, U, '2', etc. or on CBS SN.
Folks keep making a big deal about mid-week games but they are available to folks at home same as a Saturday.

Today the Dayton paper added the EMU-NIU on CBSSN to their listings, although ESPN.com still does not have it listed, and they do have the Buffalo-Akron game on Saturday listed for CBSSN, so it is not that they don't list CBSSN games.
None the less, I am happy to find that I can watch the EMU_NIU game tonight. So this was actually a date that CBSSN chose to televise the NIU game leaving the Ball State game to ESPN3. That is more in line with what we signed up for.
I've been following EMU FB for 25 years. I can see why CBS SN loves to show our games this year.
In all due respect to Toledo and their convincing win, I can see why EMU got the CBS SN game. Won't see crazier G5 football than EMU's games this year then last night's game.
I have never seen anything like it in a quarter of a century... ESPN folks in Bristol couldn't script up a crazier EMU season the last 7 (!) games.

No one would dispute why you guys got that game... I wanted the GS and GASO spot on espn2.

No argument from me. NIU is and has been a very good football program and EMU has played some of the wildest series of games anyone can remember.

So they wasted the ESPN2 spot on two teams, neither of which had a winning record, no one has heard of?

I hear you, but no one has any ideas as to contractual obligations that ESPN has to various conferences. Folks here are looking at ONE DATE.
Every game with be ESPNU or better (EMU will be on CBSSN, our 'new home'. Think we have four straight games on CBS SN).
Actually, I think the big story for the MAC is the number of games on CBS SN this season. That is a big PLUS. There was no World Series Thursday night and folks could watch CFB, if that is their thing.
