These rule.

I can barely make out the logo in these close up pictures. I fear that from the stands/tv, that they'll just appear to be all black.

It's a true blackout helmet. I love it. Players and recruits love this type of stuff.

I personally don't care for them but it really don't matter if we wear pink helmets with yellow daisies on them just beat the snot out of UAB!

I promise you would have an issue with pink and daisies. This helmets rock ! Our team esthetics are very important especially to the the players.

IMHO... I would like a matte black helmet with the new eagle head logo on it... Or the "USM" like on the baseball helmet. Something neat, clean, and that we stick with and make it the USM brand.

I've never liked the "Southern Miss" on the lid, in any form... I just never have.

Changing the helmet and unis around from game to game is just part of college football now. Every team does this type of thing. Players and recruits are into it... so we need to do it.

Helmet looks tough. Toughness has always been a theme at USM. They're well done. So, this is a good thing.

I remember we were one of the first Div 1 schools to wear all gold (1979 under Bobby Collins) and one of the first Div 1 schools to wear all black (Birmingham Bowl, 1st game for Corch Jeff Bowah)....

We also were one of the 1st Div 1 schools to wear all black as our main home uniform (San Diego St was prolly the other)

Now everyone wears black, from Stanford to Utah to Tulane to Texas A&M---WITH NO BLACK IN THEIR SCHOOL COLORS!!
