Please look at the second chart in this article. That's a BFD. That's robots and automation. In 50 years everyone will be a warehouse mole and be very thankful for that job. Society is changing. Is it going to be like that Wall E cartoon where we are all fat a**es in recliners. Just food for thought.

One last thing. I copied that image. I now have a dropbox that I put that rig count in. How do I ensure people can't trace my upload back to me. I remember a guy getting doxxed on here a couple of years back. I don't think I want someone to have my email. Is there a setting in dropbox that keeps my privacy?

I agree that in the not so far off future automation will be a huge problem for employment. I would urge everyone to make sure their children learn the necessary skills to make them valuable in not only their chosen field, but also in a backup field. Everybody should be learning trades and skills that will make them employable across several different fields.

yes. automation is a big deal, there are a lot of people out there who will be displaced from their jobs due to automation. those people need to start researching what they need to do to remain relevant in the future. even so, the future isn't looking great for human employment, hopefully the robots won't see us as a threat and we will still retain control over them so that they can make it possible for us all to exist comfortably without having to earn an income.

I have a sneaking suspicion that the end game for the world elites involves the rapid depopulation of the planet once automation replaces the need for human labor. I hope I'm wrong.

Is “Soylent Green” available on Netflix? Worth a look.

Maybe check James Whale’s Frankenstein (1931) while you’re at it.
