That was Georgia State’s first home game since August 31.

They are already down to 15,000 "announced" attendance even with a new stadium. I personally have no ill will towards Ga. State nor do I care in general, but it is impossible to survive with a power team in the same city. Some teams just are not setup to thrive in D-1 and using it just as a money grab. There needs to be a lot more standards to stay in D-1.

Georgia Tech isn't even the Atlanta team that takes the marketplace, though they do have some local cachet by default. Georgia and the Falcons are why Georgia State can only grow so big. Even without them, Alabama is certaIndy close in the amount of fans and the SEC overall as well as some of the ACC is why GSU can only grow so much.
