The Frisco Bowl
I noticed the other day that there is a bowl game for FBS at the same stadium as the FCS Championship. One projection had UCF vs Kansas State. I don't think they will add more seating capacity (don't think they can) for that Bowl game vs. the FCS Championship right? Will be interesting to compare the atmosphere, crowd, and even TV ratings of the two games.

Let the two winners play for the prestigious Galactica Award given to the winner of the Massengill Lube-Tech Insterstellar Championship Bowl of the Century.

The Frisco Bowl
UCF and KSU won’t fill it up, but lowly fcs teams will. You can take that to the bank.

You're assuming at least one of the teams to be NDSU or JMU. Should Wofford be playing Richmond. I have serious doubt that would have 8K seats being utilized.

Frankly, should neither JMU nor NDSU make it, I see no combinations of teams having the stadium go beyond 12K.

The Frisco Bowl
Ewu and UD in 2010 drew a 13k crowd. I’d also imagine Montana would draw well if they ever made it.

I have to think that South Dakota, South Dakota State and Jacksonville State would all bring enough fans to get the fan numbers above 10K if they were playing one of each other or JMU, NDSU, Montana, UD or EWU.

According to the attendance report for all the bowl games last year, all but 3 bowl games last year would have been over capacity of Toyota Stadium (20,500). It would be hard to imagine a near by Big 12 program and one of the top G5 programs wouldn't fill that stadium.

I also don't know how many FCS programs are going to bring big crowds considering over 90% of FCS teams average below 15,000 for home games.

So, it the two of the 4 fcs programs that have fan bases are in the NC (again) then attendance is great, if not, crickets. Yep.

Jmu and/or ndsu would

Not including those two could make a sellout more challenging.

Those bowl game figures are bogus. You can throw them in the trash. They're more exaggerated then regular season numbers.

K-State would bring a lot of fans. They support their FB team pretty well. UCF is undefeated and pretty jacked up about their program right now if for no other reason, it was just 2 seasons ago they went 0-12. Last year, they made another meaningless exhibition game but finished the season 6-7 after losing it. This year, they could roll in with a record something like 11-1. The Black Friday game between USF and UCF could be huge. That is, the winner not only could make the AAC title game as the division winner but also could (lots of "coulds" I realize) be the G5's rep this year in a bigger exhibition game.

The Frisco Exhibition Game is scheduled for Wednesday, Dec. 20, with an 8pmET kickoff and ESPN will be televising. It is the only college exhibition game on that day. Fans can get there and back home before any conflicts with the fat man breaking into homes around the world. Definitely that matchup could (there it is again) be the best meaningless exhibition game prior to the fat man's arrival.

Pretty sure the local Frisco/Dallas hotels, restaurants, etc., are rooting for both the Good Guys and the Bizon to keep winning.

No doubt about that. Can you see them at first jacking up the prices only to sell three rooms per hotel. The restaurants and bars would close at 9:00 pm.
