I think it went up to 6 or 7. They had that damn QB that never seemed to graduate. What was his name, he owned us, and most of them were DeAngelo years too. Then it was Joe Webb that beat on us for a few years after that

Darrell Hackney...he definitely crammed 7 years of football into 4 seasons.

Remember when DeAngelo went to media days and kidded him about being bigger than our linemen!!

I'm okay with something river related to informally call the game, but no need for a trophy. Those should just be for conference titles or bowl games in my opinion.

Nothing personal but I really don't like that name and don't feel the two team are big rivals at this time. Perhaps that changes over time.

We only have 3 opponents with a rivalry name to the game and we do not regularly play any of them.

Battle for the Bones - UAB
Paint Bucket Bowl - Arkansas State

I do wish we could bring back the Paint Bucket Trophy when we start the 4 game series with Arkansas State in a few years. Maybe if the right person hears about it...

The best idea (to me) is the street-corner signs of Beale and Bourbon.

I like the street sign idea.

I have said it before and I say it again, when Tulane becomes good again this is a natural rivalry. I hated the league dropped division play, because it meant that Tulane might not be an annual game (therefore not a road game in New Orleans every other year). Lets make it a trophy game and keep them on the schedule.
