2018 KenPom Preseason Predictions
The KenPom results came out and he has the WAC as the 21st best conference. This is a drop from where we finished last year (#17).
Here are his rankings for the WAC teams with their overall # in parentheses:
NMSU (112)
GCU (141)
CSUB (152)
UVU (166)
SU (278)
UTRGV (281)
UMKC (308)
CSU (334)

RE: 2018 KenPom Preseason Predictions
I guess the season will play itself out but I think this season's WAC basketball is actually stronger than a year ago. NMSU will not finish with 28 wins this season. And, Cal State Bakersfield might arguably be slightly down from a season ago. However, I see GCU having a real good record... And, UVU and Seattle closing the gap on the big three (NMSU, CSUB, GCU) in the conference.

Take this rankings with a grain of salt. I saw Mizzou play Kansas (5th) this weekend and they are way better than 81. Just no sample size in this yet.

In my opinion, here are some winnable non-conference games that KenPom predicts the WAC will lose. I selected two for each team:
SU over Saint Louis (11/10)
CSBU over Georgia Southern (11/13)
SU over Washington State (11/15)
UMKC over Loyola Chicago (11/16) - home game
UVU over BYU (11/29) - home game
UMKC over South Dakota (11/30) - home game
CSU over Northern Illinois (12/2) - home game
CSUB over Fresno State (12/5)
UTRGV over UC Irvine (12/9) -home game
GCU over Boise State (12/13)
UTRGV over UT Arlington (12/16) - home game
NMSU over Illinois (12/16)
UVU over Hawaii (12/17)
CSU over SIU Edwardsville (12/19)
NMSU over Davidson (12/22)
GCU over Illinois (12/30)
