(Random sarcasm generator off)

I wonder how closely FCC is paying attention to this situation.

Great point. I think Newport has a sweet spot for that FCC stadium; especially if it is designed to take full advantage of views of the Cincy skyline.

I'd be more than happy for Northern Kentucky taxpayers to participate in major infrastructure taxation after those of us north of the river have paid (more than) our fair share for PBS and GABP.

I bet a sold out BB&T for the Bearcats raises some eyebrows in the northern outpost of Big Blue Nation too.

RE: Parking at NKU
Just because UC ticket sales are up preseason at BB&T doesn't equate to FC being successful in Northern KY.

It's not apples to apples because:
The audience for UC games is different than for FC games (although there is some overlap).
UC is ranked nationally this year which is generating extra interest.
UC's playing in NKY is temporary. FC would be permanent.

In addition to UC being ranked, there are UC fans buying tickets this year in anticipation of UC returning to Clifton next year and wanting to be in attendance for the first game in the remodeled arena against OSU. Since those who are season ticket holders and mini plan holders will get first dibs on next year it makes sense to buy this year to get preferred status next year.

Obviously the situations have differences, but they are proving that playing in northern kentucky is not that big of a deal. And NKU is not close to the river. I'm thrilled that UC made the decision that they did. Another plus for Bohn?

I don't know that Bohn had too many options on where to play this season so I don't see it as a big positive or negative.

He is lucky UC is ranked such that UC fans are excited and will make the drive off campus to see them play.

If UC Basketball were moving permanently to NKY, the fanbase would not be so amenable.

If UC was picked to finish in the middle of the AAC, ticket sales for BB&T would be entirely different.

Us Bank arena on the banks and in Cincinnati was the very obvious choice. Again, I’m thrilled with the choice he/they made.

Lucky? I can't imagine Bohn would have anything to do with basketball being ranked considering he is responsible for keeping Cronin and breaking ground on the new arena.
