I'm honestly conflicted. Not sure what pizzes me off more, that someone is trying to hire away our coach or that they think he's only the 5th or 6th best candidate.
Lincoln or bust! (never really understand that saying)

Mississippi State just hired Penn State's OC, Joe Moorhead.

Wonder how the chips are going to fall at Tennessee. What a dumpster fire.

Just saw they are looking hard at former NIU and current NC State coach Dave Doeren. Have a meeting set to discuss the job.
The whole thing with Schiano should scare anyone away from Tennessee if they have other similar opportunities. Unless they have absolute knowledge that he was aware of the Sandusky molestations, it is idiotic to link him to what that pervert was doing just because he was part of the Penn State coaching staff.

Doeren reportedly has been offered the job at Tennessee. He has a decision to make.

My advice Dave Doeren is get a big termination clause, because if you don’t make it to the SEC Championship game by your second year, the Tennessee fans will get you fired.

They've been turned down by the head coach of Duke and N C State in the same week. They should just stop and only ask for people willing to take the job. How embarrassing.

Schiano got hosed. He's coached in college and the NFL since the Penn State scandal and nobody's had a bad word to say about his character. Tennessee is going to reap what they sow for letting those bleeding heart protesters have an influence on the program. That scares me a bit, because it could fall to a Candle type.

I’m guessing Candle is far too smart to take a chance on that program & fan base. He could win 8 games a year there & still not be “good enough” if he doesn’t win his Division—at the very least.

That thought did cross my mind. I hope not. At this rate, they will be interviewing pee wee league coaches soon.

I didn't know that being concerned about those who cover up rape is "bleeding heart". Tennessee has its own recent high profile rape cover up history in it's athletic department. Hiring someone who knew what was going on at Penn St and did nothing would be like Penn St hiring Art Briles top assistant for their coaching job, Harvey Weinstein to produce their team videos or Bill O'Riley to be their color guy. Schiano may have demonstrated "good character" at his recent jobs, but when he had a chance to show character and call out a child rape ring at Penn St he chose to be complicit. For a while he faced no consequence for this, but it finally caught up to him.

Oh here we go. Show me some evidence. At any rate, you being offended isn't the topic of the thread. My point is that the trickle down effect from Schianogate is concerning.

In the thousands and thousands of pages in the Sandusky report, Schiano's name never showed up once. Ohio State also investigated him and found nothing. Not sure what he signed at Tennessee, but I'd sue the hell out of them after the season is over if I were him.
