There are many reasons for this. FAU is a 90% commuter school, which means an overwhelming majority of students do not live on campus. They have jobs and families, etc. Secondly, the program is relatively recent and is still working on establishing its own footprint in the UM's shadow. Thirdly, and most importantly, FAU has had an 8-year record of failure. yes, we had looked rather good in the last 4-5 games, but do 4-5 games erase a long period of losing?

BTW, I am going to the FAU/FIU game with my family. I usually do one game a season. It is difficult to do more when you live 40 miles from campus, have a job, a house, and a family.

^WOW!!!!
This may be one of the most shocking things I’ve ever read on here. My family has traveled hundreds of miles several hundred times to see our team play sinceI was a little kid until last week taking a 1 year old and two 8 year olds. We’ve all traveled Thousands of miles for NCAA tournaments and bowl games.
40 miles??????? Incredible.

You don't know him or his particular situation. Perhaps there are outside factors that he'd rather not reveal on a message board. So until you know all the details, how about you not cast stones?

You are right. My bad. Apologies.

Hey man, I might have come off too harsh on you. I apologize for that. I meant my post respectfully because youre a good poster and not known as someone to flame. Goliath is a loyal FAU fan and we all have reasons as ta why we can or can't make a game... I know you know that.

Goliath, BB is a good guy... he is a cool ECU fan. I don't think he meant his post like it came out. Just FYI and imho.
