Those of us who were at the USM/UNT game last evening could not but be impressed by the effect the "thunder sticks" had on the crowd noise level in the dome. The crowd at the game was about normal for a Tulane game, but was much louder (excluding the participation from the bnads) than what you get at a Tulane game. Someone should take the necessary steps to make "thunder sticks" available at Tulane games.

People had them at the last basketball game in Fogelman. Hopefully, they're in the works for football next year.

Just as long as nobody with those things sits behind me
I find them annoying but I can live with it if it gets the crowd into it. I make noise at the games the old fashioned way; stand up and scream my lungs out. You ought to see the looks I get from the sports jacket/pinky extended types in my section. I can only imagine how they'd react to thundersticks. Should be fun to watch. :)

Sounds like you need to go sit with the Greenbackers. They give you strange looks if you don't jump to your feet and screem like the dickens.
