I have a lot of contacts within the beer industry. Breweries don't make great margins as is, so I have a hard time believing that they would pay UC to use their name.

It would be cool to drink a Bearcat Red Ale or a Lucy IPA, but a revenue stream, I think not.

For anyone interested, there is a petition floating around social media for UC marketing to allow Bearcat-themed beers from local brewers. 190 have signed it so far.
