The $64,000 question is can Ga Southern come up with the $'s to buy out Summers? It was reported yesterday on SBNATION the buyout would be around $1 million. Granted it can be paid in installments, but can a Eagle Athletic Department which is rumored to be somewhat strapped for cash afford that financial hit in addition to what it will take to bring in another staff?

He had 4 years at $300k per for football coaching, plus an additional $200k per year for media responsibilities. Only the coaching part was guaranteed, and it is prorated. So he has a little over 2 years left ~$650-675k, not $1 Million. Not chump change either, but this buyout thing has never been as much of an issue as people want to try and make it.

Any job he gets also offsets what we owe him. He was making 300K at CSU as the DC so if he gets a gig like that again will owe him absolutely NOTHING.
