I wish we'd play something different before the extra point, then the fight song after. I hate that the band has to quiet down while the extra point is going on.

It's fine. A bit lame musically and historically, and exclusionary. But some love it, so it's fine.

No way it should replace the fight song.

Tennessee fans have a chant that goes something like - It's great to be a Tennessee Vol. But it's just that, a chant.

This song has never been used by Tennessee no matter how many times you tell people it has.

Not sure what you mean by "myth". I was at the Memphis UTK game and they were singing it.

I think it was played by Westwood and Fairley in the late 80's. White Station's band started playing it around 1991. A fairly large group of White Station band members went to UofM in 1992-1993 and introduced it.
