Crosstown they're having football issues of their own
Houston hosting #25 Memphis tonight and led 24-7 midway through the 3rd quarter. They allowed 35 points after that and ended up losing 42-38.
UH falls to 4-3 and might end up regret losing the UTSA game due to Hurricane Harvey.

I guess but far different problems. Memphis is 6-1 Now and ranked. It's fun that they cooged it But I shudder to think what Memphis would do to us.
On an unrelated Thursday note, the KC vs OAK game was a wild finish. Thursday night football this season has been a welcome surprise.

UH might be having issues but they at least have more than 500 people in the stands.

And their enrollment and Houston based alumni number how many? The upper decks last night were sparsely populated. Yes we should be ashamed of how bad our team is and how poorly we draw, but this pro-UH statement of yours is a bit much.

Can’t wait for a coog to come tell us they’re a P6 program (and yes I’ve seen them try to use that).

I am in NO WAY pro-UH....
But having a very small enrollment such as ours is no excuse for the crowds we currently draw. I realize our product on the field is terrible right now but its beyond ridiculous how few people attend games.

Well, when you start with a much smaller base, you get to the bottom a lot quicker and easier. I wonder how many we would have in the sands if we were 4-3. Still not a lot, I suspect.
I was told that I should not attend games to show that I wanted change. Was I wrong to take this advice?

Memphis is a good example of how quickly a program can turn around - it wasn't that long ago they were in the New Mexico State/Idaho category.

What happened to the best program in college football that rightfully should be in the SEC and always plays before sold out crowds since they were going to TAKEOVER?

They were so bad in 2012, that many felt Bailiff should have resigned after losing to them then.

Yep. All it took was a new coach...and a junior college transfer QB, and several other JC transfers.
We may have to go with just the new coach, and a bunch of freshmen.

I would like to point out that my investments in the Coogs and the Chiefs proved the opposite of lucrative. But....I'm weighing the "all-in" venture on at least one university in Texas and another investment against "the University OF Texas".

"that would be a terrible idea" - said no one ever.
Really not sure what your point is anymore.

I'd be far happier if Rice were in UH's shoes than where it is. So, I'm guessing, would most on here.

Bingo.
UH is like buying a nice suit, shoes and tie and going for a interview at Goldman Sachs. Sure you can pooh pooh at the cost of the suit and the willingness to dream, but they got as prepared as they can be for the task. Didn't work out, but they gave it a fair shot.
Rice, meanwhile, rolls in dressed like a bum.
