Part of the answer is we were in the MSV Conference from the 1957/58 season until after the 1969/70 season when we left as an Independent. The two teams played against each other next in a home and home series and then one more time for seemingly posterity's sake. Both programs then went on their separate ways. Someone else with more knowledge of the history would need to fill in the blanks. The good news is that the series will once again renew. Who knows, maybe a new rivalry will be born...
