Where would this conference be if we could hang on to our coaches?
I think retaining coaching talent is one of the biggest issues facing this conference, and we need to find a way to retain coaches, or turn their wanderlust into our advantage.
That being said, this conference has lost Justin Fuente, Matt Rhule, Tom Herman, Willie Taggart, Ruffin McNeil*, and potentially Scott Frost (though there are clear indications so far, we'll at least keep him to next year).
I personally think P6 wouldn't just be a gimmick on our helmets before long.

I agree to a certain extent but coaches leave b/c as non-P5 conference we don't have real access to the playoffs and we don't have the huge TV contracts to compete in assistant salaries.
For example, USF offered to match Oregon's offer to Taggart and increase the assistant coach salary pool, which has been going up anyways. However, there is no way USF or any other AAC school can afford to match what P5 schools pay their assistant coaches, nevermind the big dollars OC and DC can demand nowadays.

Sometimes it's nice when people don't know what a Tulsa is. Should be able to keep Monty for next year when we battle the SW Conference. UT, U of A, plus UH and SMOO of course.
