RE: STW Interview wth George Bamfo(former UH LB)/Tulsa Recap/Memphis Preview/AAC Games
I watched the whole Memphis preview video. Most of it was complaining about the Tulsa game, lol. And the 3 on camera guys all predicted UH to win by close scores in the 20s.
I'll say this, if both teams score in the 20s, I would agree. I would hope Memphis scores 30+. If so, they will likely win, but we'll see.

Yeah we are pretty bitter about Tulsa to be honest HOWEVER we are kinda homers at times.
With that said, defense is our strong suit, so therefore we are going to side with our D handling yalls O.
We could be, and might be, totally wrong, see Tulsa.
What did you think outside of the complaining? We are always looking for feedback and how to improve.

Too much biased homer opinion, not enough factual analysis. I too think UH should be favored but that "preview" didn't give much support for why, virtually no detail. Probably entertaining for rabid UH fans but not so much for the general FB fan. They couldn't even provide much analysis beyond opinion as to who will be the UH QB.....JMO.

SO it's interesting you say that there was no factual analysis considering we broke down your schedule thus far, talked about the players we think people should know ie QB/RB/WR/2 Def guys. We also talked about yalls stats and how they match up against us. Yalls O vs our D and yalls D vs our O.
We try to avoid super super heavy stats reading and try to give more opinion/hot takes. Truthfully we go for more entertaining than reading from the memphis Game Notes PDF.
Do we claim to be experts not in the slightest. We are simply 3 passionate UH grads who like to talk football.

I liked it. You three guys work well together. It's light and funny, and you don't take yourselves too seriously. There were a few inside jokes, but I suppose UH fans who follow it would be able to keep up.
I thought you were pretty fair in your analysis. I thought you could have gone into more detail about Memphis' strengths and weaknesses, but not really sure how you do that, unless you interview a Memphis media guy who follows the team.
I thought you did a good job with the Power Rankings. I couldn't complain about that, at all. Same with the AAC predictions. I checked out after that.

Ah, I just read this explanation. Well, you got pretty much what you're aiming for then.
I agree you shouldn't read from a stat sheet. Instead, maybe try to find a media guy to interview, who can do the opponent analysis for you.
I would think UH fans would appreciate it, if done objectively.
Here's a link to our local newspaper podcast discussing the Navy win and previewing Houston. See what you think.
RE: STW Interview wth George Bamfo(former UH LB)/Tulsa Recap/Memphis Preview/AAC Games
I'll be honest, listening to the Tulsa recap was like sweet music. But for what it's worth, before last weeks game I thought you guys may be the best in the West (better than Navy). And I have you picked to beat Memphis today.

You asked, I provided my opinion. I agree, it comes across as 3 passionate UH grads. But I think after asking for opinions on the conference board (not the UH board), you are defensive & lose proportion in your response - I said "not enough factual analysis" which you, in defense, translated to me saying "there was no factual content". Like I said, if your target audience is UH fans, & I suppose it should be, then your audience will enjoy your program.
